Thickening and levelled additive for oil-in-water emulsion systems
STABIL 100 is a polyurethane thickener for ionic and anionic emulsions such as acrylic, styrene/acrylic, vinyl/acrylic, styrene/butadiene, vinyl/veova and all other kind of copolymers normally used in coatings.
STABIL 100 can be used in all water-based paints. Besides, it is particularly suitable in glossy emulsion paints formulations.
Glossy emulsion paints normally need thickeners to give high water retention and rheological characteristics to allow longer and better film’s crosslinking.
On the contrary, normal thickeners used in emulsion paints can negatively act on film’s formation, they can show inadequate compatibility with some paint’s component or being the cause of scarce distension or reduction of dried film brightness.
STABIL 100 has been studied to solve these problems.
